2/29/2024 0 Comments My hero academia season 2 hype![]() You gotta play into your strengths and mha isnt doing that. Now the whole wannabe edginess, more "dark" stuff, Plot twists (which everybody saw coming from like the start of the show but they then build it up as if it was some kind of crazy subverting twist that changes the show) just were too much for Kohei Horikoshi (obviously thats just how it seems to me). You don't need depth to have a good show but MHA is trying to be way more than it actually is, to me the beginning of it was the most enjoyable part of it, it was not trying to be what it wasn't. Its not trying to be more than it is, its straight to the point and does what it wants to do well. Hard disagree, Demon Slayer for example did not have a lot of depth and its, to me, way better than my hero academia. ![]() No exciting and surprising twists, nothing new, it just continued like it is the most standard ok shonen ever I think season 6 is so boring and not really that dark tbh- its standard edgy wannabe dark shonen that everyone saw coming. Season 6 is straight to the point, one of the darkest and best in the entire series, I swear, once you get there, you have no regrets! Overall, the more recent seasons feel mediocre and I personally feel like the hype and ratings are too high. It just feels super repetitive too, cause every time they actually leave the school to do something, Shigaraki and his friends just decide to join them. I’m pretty sure they’re still in their first year too. However, I rewatched it and noticed how there is really no progression or interesting plot points occurring over 100 episodes. With more recent stuff like season 5, I just wanted to see if anything changed or got better. I didn’t dislike it from the beginning but I was just getting back into anime and was just following the hype with my friends. Genuinely curious.why have you watched 5 seasons plus movies if you disliked it from the beginning? You obviously don't dislike it nearly as much as you claim if you've spent years supporting the series. It keeps getting produced because of people like you who keep tuning in, year after year. season 6 is phenomenal so far as well and the series is doing pretty well in general, better than most even. ![]() I haven't experienced the disinterest in the series that many people have and its been a great show for me. personally, I like the show and it hasn't really gone down hill for me coz I've liked it consistently since around season 2. it recently reached top 10 best selling shounen jump manga of all time, surpassing giants like yu yu hakusho. in fact it's popularity is only increasing. But in the end it's actually a decent show.Īnd tbh i think BNHA is gonna get more hype I don't blame you for not continuing to watch it and i kinda get your point. The current arc which season 6 is adapting is probably the best part of the entire BNHA. Is there going to be a downfall of MHA or is the fandom going to keep supporting it? You can look at ofher shows with 3 seasons and see some progress. I mean, if a season is that unmemorable that says something. ![]() From what I remember of this season, it also sucked. The show isn’t progressing and it’s nearly completely just training and canon filler (with your added drama). There is nothing thrilling or entertaining to watch and the characters don’t have enough personality in my opinion. Nearly nothing has happened and all the episodes feel so boring. However, as it went on, I started to realize. During the first season, I liked this show.
